What an amazing guy Imtiaz is on so many levels! We connected via a mutual friend which resulted in me being invited and joining one of his fantasticly organised events.

He is clearly an incredibly knowledgeable and skilled martial artist in in number of disciplines. I was a complete newbie and he went out of the way to give me a great induction to grappling, from providing me opportunities to practice with him and others, to caring about my safety (as I had sustained some serious injuries at my trial at grappling club not long ago).

He's also extremely good at organising, coordinating and delivering grappling events. So if you spot one and are lucky enough to go, don't pass up the chance! Including if you are new to grappling - he goes out of his way to make these spaces safe and inclusive!

He's also just a really great guy to chat to and get to know off the mats and I really enjoyed spending time with him at the social spaces he provided around the grappling time.

Don't pass up a chance to connect with this legend of a guy!

I was lucky enough to meet Centaur at a BJJ event in London where he took time out to roll with me and pass on some of his considerable grappling experience, even though I was a complete and hesitant newbie!

He's just absolutely the friendliest guy on and off the mats. Don't let that fool you though, on the mats, he is clearly extremely skilled and a beast! Grappling with him gave a great opportunity for an intense roll that remained fun and even hilarious at times! Absolutely fantastic vibe.

He obviously works out as well - so his strength is considerable. Don't let let him get grips 😅 he's like a vice lol. Probably best to stay away from his guard too 😅 lol...

Can't wait to face off against him in the future again to learn more, laugh some more, and hopefully I'll know more to pit up more fight!

Strongly recommend you take up any opportunity to grapple with him!

What can I say, what an incredible guy! Really friendly, great to chat with, fantastic to roll with, generous with his time, great to get to know off the mat - the whole package.

I met him at a BJJ meet I had been invited to as a complete newbie. I was pretty hesitant to participate or ask people to roll because I didn't know anything and very few people, but he came up and asked me to roll, twice!

He has some grappling coaching experience, and I found his guidance really helpful as a complete newcomer to the sport. He helped me get a feel for what rolling was like and to get used to the pressure and intensity. With his instructions I was even able to successfully practice a few moves I would have thought impossible given how much smaller I am than him.

He balances grappling and strength training and is obviously incredibly strong. I even had a great time talking to him about our respective workout routines.

Can't wait to see him again at a future meet! Don't pass up the chance to meet this great guy if an opportunity presents itself!

Hugely enjoyed getting to meet newbie88 at the ring this weekend.

He is a lot of fun to wrestle... we did a mix of subs, pro and some boxing thrown in, so a great opponent to introduce me to some of the many ways to use the ring space to play with and punish an opponent.

He has bags of energy and aggression, giving me a great workout as we rolled.

While I like to think I made him work for it, he has a great talent at playing the heel, knowing exactly what to say and do.

With also being easy to arrange with at the last minute, a top recommndation from me.

What a lovely way to end my road trip. Was made to feel very welcome and once again it's good to be able to wrestle and talk. An excellent meet up.....Lovely guy...thank you.

Hedloker was the very first person to message me when I joined MF not long ago! And how lucky I was that he did!

He has guided and counselled me as I started to navigate MF, always encouraging me to get onto grappling. So I've been keen to meet him for a while, but living in opposite ends of the country I wasn't sure it would possible.

As it happened we were able to cross paths recently at a meet he signposted me to. He spent a great deal of time teaching me all kids of basics, constantly going beyond to make sure I had a good time as a newbie and was safe, even coaching me a little during some of my rolls (by signing to go for a choke at one point 😂).

It's been great to develop a friendship online with with him and I'm thrilled I got the opportunity to continue to do so in person - all while having fun and learning from his considerable grappling expertise.

He's quite the legend I feel, friendly, kind, shockingly strong, and a master grappler. I feel quite honoured to have been given the opportunity to befriend him. If you ever get the chance to as well, don't miss it!

I know I'll be looking forward to seeing him again on in the future for some more grappling.

After more than 20 years, I finally had a rematch with Sparky! We bumped into each other at WrestleFest in NYC and he was kind enough to stop by WV on his way home from other travel.

He's handsome as ever, and even stronger than when we first met in Phoenix oh so long ago.

We had a low-key match, since he'd been doing a lot of wrestling earlier in the weekend. But I was able to enjoy his company for dinner (after throwing him over my shoulder for some squats.) Sparky is a great guy; in-shape and skilled, with a very good head on his broad shoulders. So wonderful to reconnect, and I look forward to more!

Broski306 is a friendly and chill individual to hang out with. In addition, he is definitely a strong man! I enjoyed the time and the match with him and hope to go again with him! If you’re in the area, definitely reach out to him! Worth it!

Cada vez que intentaba escapar, él ya estaba un paso por delante, guiándome sin prisa, atrapándome en su red, sin yo darme cuenta; como el gato que juega con un ratón. Y siempre con respeto. Adaptándose a mi nivel.

Aunque me empleé con determinación, se anticipaba a mis movimientos y me dominaba en cada uno de ellos.

Además, Libero es un verdadero lujo de ser humano. Le agradezco profundamente su generosidad, su cercanía, y esa capacidad única de hacer sentir a alguien con poca experiencia como yo cómodo, motivado y seguro. Gracias.
