Good Explanation Of How Indy Pro Wrestling Works in Washington

Basically the indy shows are working in a gray area of the current regulations from Washington State Athletic Commision. Really something that should be fixed.

3/23/2017 7:33 AMThere are some things that regulation of activities by WAC is supposed to address. The biggest one I think are promoters who put on an event then disappear with the gate receipts. Hard to believe it still happens but apparently someone pulled that stunt down in the SE last year.
From what I have seen at the Portland events I have gone to, the audience runs around 200 with a ticket price of maybe $10 at the door. Not a lot of money there and apparently the DOA folks are donating the bulk of their gate to the Wattle Boys and Girls Club which hosts their events.
Definitely a different event scale from what WWE puts on with venues seating around 10,000 and seat prices around $50. But then WWE has a road staff of maybe 100 and a couple of mobile television trucks that are comparable to what the NFL uses. Plus I did see the WWE bizjet fly into Boeing field a couple of years ago when either Raw or Smackdown was here. Assume that either Shane, Stephanie, or HHH coming to supervise the show.
