Beefy, athletic competitor, broad-shouldered. Enjoy pro wrestling but more focused on competition right now after having competed in a couple of BJJ tournaments and having totally caught the competition BJJ bug.
For pro wrestling, prefer lots of creativity in stories and character. I'm normally a face but feeling an urge to make a heel turn.
For competition, equally prefer gi and no gi, though I’ve got more experience with gi and can hold my own better. I’m more of a passer than a guard player but that’s because my guard game sucks. Would enjoy meetups to just drill passes with guys with different games and go-to passing strategies. For no gi, I prefer rash guards, spats, and board shorts—exactly what I wear when i I train at the BJJ gym. I'm not into anything erotic when it comes to BJJ: it is 100% sport to me. I'm especially interested in rolling with guys who have more of a berimbolo and 10th Planet style of game, as I'm mostly an old school pressure passer and don't get much opportunity to roll against the newer styles of BJJ at my own gym.
No ego in either: I enjoy pro fantasy for safe and fun clobbering and I very much enjoy competitive matches in BJJ or wrestling where if you beat me then you take the time to break it down how you were able to get the best of me. (And I do the same if I submit you.) Submissions from me are slow, position-focused, and safe, and I expect the same from my submission grappling opponents. (Thrilled to meet you if you can do a flying armbar, but not interested in being on the receiving end of one.)
Also have always had an interest in boxing and looking to learn more—I train combatives for both striking and ground but I haven’t done a lot of sparring with boxing and want to learn more.
This is as much about brotherly bonding as it is about anything else for me and I like turning my grappling experiences into the basis of trusted friendships.
