Metro Wrestling has been holding collegiate and freestyle wrestling practices in New York City since 1992. In the last few years, we had to switch locations and then Covid-19 put everything on hold. We obtained a new space near Penn Station just before the Covid-19 lockdown hit, but they're still there and we held our first resumed practice there on Sunday, July 25, 2021. The practice went very well and we are planning to continue this schedule, which is every Sunday from 2-4pm at 38 West 32 St, 14th Floor, Suite 1406, New York NY 10001. Please bring appropriate wrestling attire including flat soled or wrestling shoes, and shirt and shorts or wrestling singlet. Pre-Fest is 2/22/2020 on Staten Island and Wrestlefest is 2/23-27/2020 in Manhattan. :-D

There are no fees for either event. You might need a spreadsheet to keep track of all the matches. ;-)

hey guys, Terry announced the date of the 2020 NYC Wrestlefest, it's 2/23-26/2020. I'm planning to hold the pre-Fest on 2/22, message me for details, then off to the hotel (already reserved, good rates for early reservations) on Sunday. Wanna wrestle? :-D

The venerable annual Hillside Wrestling Weekend was last weekend and once again, it did not disappoint. A great mix of raw me..., er, new guys and previous attendees, freestyle, submission and pro matches, and hot dry weather made for sweaty matches all day and through the night as well. Posted some of the photos and planning to get many more up soon.

At Okie Rumble this weekend, having a good time, will be posting pics when I get back.
