At the end of the day people challenge you, you are not always going to want to accept the challenge but when you do, why the hell would the challenger just ignore you! I really don't get this, I've had a challenge from the same person twice and both I've accepted, the person has now blocked me as I've pulled him up on it. But I don't get why the hell people would issue a challenge in the first place when they haven't got any intention of actually wrestling. At the end of the day for whatever reason if you've changed your mind, say something, don't be an a hole and just ignore it! Rant over...but surely people like that shouldn't be allowed on here if all they want to do is play games!

Well, had my first pro style bout ever and my first bout for at least 25 years with Brit Pro Heel at Grove Park. At the moment I am extremely knackered, aching and bruised but you know what, I loved it. Met up with BPH at the station and made our way to Grove Park where a full sized wrestling ring awaited us, this seriously was a dream come true for me, one I've had since a kid watching WOS. BPH went through ring etiquette with me, how to work the ropes and the ring and then pretty much got stuck in with showing me some holds.
I was quite chuffed that BPH thought I was a lot better than he had been expecting which was good to hear as I had been as nervous as hell! We wrestled for a good couple of hours, I like to think I held my own at times, just need to decide, am I a heel or a jobber lol possibly a jobber as I certainly brought the sexy back (joke with BPH) but my leanings are probably heel as I don't think I will be too much of a pushover.
As for BPH, seriously, what a great guy and again I want to thank him for extending a challenge to effectively a newbie given the time since I last wrestled! He took a chance and I like to think he's glad he did, well he certainly seemed happy as am I, really was a great reintroduction to the sport and I'm looking forward to more bouts with him and other wrestlers perhaps a bit more local to me.
Just to finish by saying I loved slapping that mat and working off the ropes and taking the postings, again, my dreams came to life during those couple of hours, man, what a sport, love it!

Well been on here a little while, trying to get a first bout sorted but no joy, I have to say, if someone takes the time to message you about a bout, even if you are not interested, it goes some way if you actually reply to say that rather than just ignore them! It is really disheartening to get no form of response back guys! That said, pure stroke of luck I was looking at someone's profile and before you know it I am meeting up with Brit pro heel tomorrow, in a ring no less and I can't wait, been a childhood dream for me so to say I am somewhat excited is an understatement, God, I wish I had the proper trunks and boots to wear rather than my gym shorts and barefoot lol I haven't wrestled for years and this will be my first bout for about 20 years! Well, I say bout, I think he will be taking it easy with me and showing me some moves which is fine by me, just can't wait. Wish me luck guys and will report back after to,let you know how it went!
